Thames View, which is part of the well-respected Howard Academy Trust (THAT), has some real strengths, namely the wonderful cohort of children, an excellent staff team and fantastic school grounds, all of which we intend to make the most of during the coming year.
We are a two-form entry school, and with our Nursery, educate 480 children in a friendly and caring environment.
At Thames View Primary School, staff are committed to providing an education that enables all pupils to realise their dreams, goals and ambitions. We work in partnership with colleagues, parents and the community, so that pupils achieve academic success and experience personal well-being within a caring and safe environment.
We promote our values of respect, responsibility and resilience, throughout all we do, so that our pupils are ready to take their place in a constantly changing world.

Year 3 had a fantastic time at their Stone Age workshop! They loved exploring artefacts, touching real animal fur, discovering fascinating facts, and listening to a story about life in the Stone Age. It was wonderful to see last term's learning brought to life!
Year 3 had the best day exploring their exciting new topic- the Vikings! Dressed in fantastic Viking costumes, the children discovered interesting facts about Viking life and even had a go at building their own longships!
For Hook Day, Year 4 learnt about who the Anglo-Saxons were, why they came to Britain and what their daily life was like. They became Anglo-Saxon Artisans and created some symmetrical brooches using tracing paper. Their designs were inspired by Anglo-Saxon brooches and they all made sure to include detailed patterns. They also practised some weaving skills ready for our Anglo-Saxon DT unit this term!
