Thames View, which is part of the well-respected Howard Academy Trust (THAT), has some real strengths, namely the wonderful cohort of children, an excellent staff team and fantastic school grounds, all of which we intend to make the most of during the coming year.
We are a two-form entry school, and with our Nursery, educate 480 children in a friendly and caring environment.
At Thames View Primary School, staff are committed to providing an education that enables all pupils to realise their dreams, goals and ambitions. We work in partnership with colleagues, parents and the community, so that pupils achieve academic success and experience personal well-being within a caring and safe environment.
We promote our values of respect, responsibility and resilience, throughout all we do, so that our pupils are ready to take their place in a constantly changing world.

We are delighted to share that four of our staff members have been shortlisted for Trust Awards this year! A huge congratulations to Mrs Jimenez (Primary Support Staff of the Year), Mrs Bradshaw (Trust Impact Award), Mrs Gulvin (Primary Teacher of the Year) and Paul the Lollipop Man (Wellbeing Award). We wish you all the best of luck!
Millie, one of our fantastic Eco Ambassadors, has been putting her learning into practice after discovering the important role bees play in our ecosystem during our science lessons. After spotting a bee struggling on the pavement, Millie wanted to find a way to help if she encountered a bee in need again. Using a recycled bottle, she created a small container for a sugary water solution that can provide an energy boost to an exhausted bee. We are so proud to see Millie showing such care for the environment and using her creativity to make a positive difference. Well done, Millie!
Big congratulations to our Golden ticket winners Leo, Alfie, Betsie-Mae, Igor, Bowie , Salina, Sophie and Milo. Showing all our school values and working hard every day – Well done!
Year 5 had fun exploring Chatham Dockyard today. They enjoyed looking at the HMS Ocelot, HMS Gannet and the HMS Cavalier. The especially liked learning about the punishments the sailors endured on the HMS Gannet and enjoyed making their own piece of rope after seeing the working ropery.
